The Texas Parent Teacher Association has named Maria Elena Pacheco (BA Spanish ʼ94) the Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2020.

Professor Quintanilla awarded $10,000 arts grant
The Luminaria Arts Foundation has awarded a $10,000 literary arts grant to Octavio Quintanilla, PhD, former San Antonio Poet Laureate and Our Lady of the Lake University (ÄûÃʵ¼º½) associate professor of English, Mass Communication and Drama.

ÄûÃʵ¼º½ announces plans for fall reopening
ÄûÃʵ¼º½ is assembly a team of faculty, staff and student leaders to begin planning for the opening of the three university campuses for the fall semester. The team will be guided by health and safety practices recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, Texas Department of Health Services and the local health districts in each of the communities served by the university.

Student teachers impact children through digital learning
10 ÄûÃʵ¼º½ clinical teachers are on the front lines of elementary digital learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are planning lessons with their cooperating teachers, assess work and meet with students through digital platforms.
